Build your knowledge and network with ATT events
23 October 2026

From expert-led webinars to lively peer discussions, ATT members can access a varied programme of events to keep your CPD up to date, deepen your knowledge and grow your professional network.

Our free quarterly, member-only webinars are a great place to start. The technical team shares practical insights into the issues that matter to members, with previous sessions covering pensions and inheritance tax, cryptoasset taxation and changes to the residence and domicile regime. Catch up at any time with recordings of these webinars on the ATT website.

Next up is our webinar on Wednesday 18 November, offering a detailed look at some of the main tax stories emerging from October’s Budget and the subsequent Finance Bill. Rather than racing through every announcement, we will focus on the issues likely to be of greatest interest to ATT members. That means more time to explore the detail and consider the practical implications. The webinar will be presented by our Director of Public Policy, Emma Rawson, together with members of the technical team. Visit the ATT website for more information and to secure your free place.

Also this month, we are delighted to be partnering with the AAT once again for our popular Sharpen Your Tax Skills Conference on Thursday 26 November 2026. This interactive online session combines essential technical updates with practical, real-life case studies. You will be able to contribute your own thoughts on the examples covered and put questions to the speakers. ATT and CIOT members can book at the discounted rate of £135. For more information and to register, visit the conference webpage.

Connecting with fellow members

ATT events are about more than technical CPD. They also create valuable opportunities to connect with fellow members, exchange knowledge and experience, and strengthen your professional network.

Our popular MTD discussion groups have been running for some time, with the latest session held on 14 October. These free, informal sessions give members space to discuss their experiences with peers, share practical tips, raise challenges and hear how others are approaching MTD implementation. Rather than traditional webinars, these are member-led conversations facilitated by members of the ATT’s Technical Team. Attendees can exchange ideas, voice practical concerns and support one another. ATT Technical Team representatives are also on hand to answer practical questions where possible and raise unresolved issues with HMRC where appropriate.

In September, we also held our first dedicated online drop-in session for ATT members working in industry or in-house. These free sessions give members the chance to talk to peers about the issues they face and share helpful tips and advice. They also provide direct access to members of the ATT Technical Team, giving attendees an opportunity to raise relevant issues. Following the success of the first session, we are looking to develop a regular programme, so keep an eye out for further information.

Ready to see what is coming up? Explore all planned ATT events on our dedicated events webpage. We want our programme to reflect members’ needs, so if there is a topic or format you would like us to consider, email us at [email protected].
