CIOT AGM: June 2026
The Chartered Institute of Taxation’s 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held on 4 June 2026, both in person and online.
Proceedings covered the formal business of the Institute, including the adoption of the Annual Report and Financial Statements for 2025, appointments and re-elections to Council, and the reappointment of the auditor. Over 1,100 votes were cast in advance of the meeting, with further votes cast in the room and online during the meeting.
Members were invited to raise questions. These ranged from examinations and digital platforms to sustainability and the ongoing development of member services. Answers to the questions and details of the resolutions are noted in the Minutes which can be accessed here: tax.org.uk/annual-reports
Following the AGM, speeches were given by the outgoing and incoming President, and the new Officers were invested, marking both continuity and renewal in the Institute’s leadership.
