New CIOT Tax Technical Senior Manager: Lauren Fletcher

Lauren joined the CIOT in November 2025, bringing with her 18 years of experience at BDO in the North West of England, where she most recently served as Director. She commenced her tax career at BDO in 2007 through their graduate scheme and qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser in 2010. Over the years, Lauren has specialised in corporate and transaction taxes, including due diligence, purchaser tax structuring, shareholder advisory on business sales, and corporate and share restructuring.

In addition to her advisory responsibilities, Lauren led the delivery of corporate tax compliance services for a portfolio comprising owner-managed businesses, private equity-backed enterprises and large international corporations.

Lauren later headed BDO Liverpool’s tax team and worked with audit and advisory leaders to grow the Liverpool practice.

As part of Ellen Milner’s Public Policy Directorate at CIOT, Lauren will manage and coordinate the technical team and support the Head of Tax Technical Victoria Todd in her strategic work. She looks forward to leveraging her extensive practical experience in her new role, as well as speaking to and hearing from as many members as possible over the coming months.
